Cosalic Lotion: Your Solution for Psoriasis and Dandruff
Effective Relief for Skin and Scalp Conditions
Cosalic Lotion fights back against the discomfort and distress of psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, and dandruff with its potent dermatological formula. Comprising Coal Tar, Hydrocortisone, and Salicylic Acid, this lotion offers an effective solution for a range of skin and scalp issues.
Composition:
Cosalic Lotion contains:
- Strong Coal Tar Solution (USP): 30 mg per ml
- Hydrocortisone (BP): 10 mg per ml
- Salicylic Acid (BP): 30 mg per ml
Indications:
Cosalic Lotion is specifically formulated for the treatment of:
- Psoriasis
- Seborrheic dermatitis
- Dandruff
Dosage For Scalp lotion:
The lotion should be applied as a thin layer to the affected area once or twice daily, depending on the severity of the condition. When used on the scalp, make sure to massage it into the hair roots thoroughly.
Contraindications:
Cosalic Lotion is not suitable for individuals with a known hypersensitivity to any of its active ingredients, including hydrocortisone, salicylic acid, coal tar, or other corticosteroids. If you have photosensitivity conditions like lupus erythematosus or are allergic to sunlight, please consult a healthcare professional for alternative options.
Special Precautions:
If you experience irritation, sensitivity, excessive dryness, or any other adverse reactions, discontinue use immediately. Corticosteroids applied to the skin can potentially be absorbed in sufficient amounts to produce systemic effects like hypothalamic pituitaryadrenal axis suppression, manifestations of Cushing’s syndrome, hyperglycemia, and glucosuria in some patients. Therefore, extra precautions should be taken during prolonged treatment, on extensive body surface areas, with occlusive techniques, and when treating children. Since Coal Tar is photosensitizing, avoid exposing the application areas to excessive UV or sunlight for 24 hours. This preparation should not be used during psoriasis exacerbations, as it may trigger total body exfoliation. The safety of Cosalic Lotion during pregnancy, lactation, and for children has not been conclusively established.
Warning:
Don’t apply Cosalic Lotion to your eyes, and avoid broken or inflamed skin when using it. It may also stain the skin, hair, and fabric.
Adverse Reactions:
Common adverse reactions to topical corticosteroids include a burning sensation, itching, irritation, and dryness. Coal tar may lead to skin irritation, acne-like eruptions, and photosensitization. Other reactions may include folliculitis, hypertrichosis, acneiform eruptions, hypopigmentation, skin maceration, secondary infection, skin atrophy, stride, and miliaria. Salicylic acid may cause dermatitis.
Presentation:
Cosalic Lotion is available in a 60ml plastic bottle, ensuring easy and convenient application.
Say goodbye to the discomfort of psoriasis and dandruff with Cosalic Lotion.
