Cosalic Lotion: Tackle Psoriasis & Dandruff, Relieve Scalp & Skin Discomfort

Cosalic Lotion actively fights the discomfort and distress of psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis, and dandruff with a potent dermatological formula. Combining Coal Tar, Hydrocortisone, and Salicylic Acid, it offers an effective solution for a range of skin and scalp issues.

Composition:

• Strong Coal Tar Solution (USP):  30mg/ml
• Hydrocortisone (BP):  10mg/ml
• Salicylic Acid (BP):  30mg/ml

Targets:

• Psoriasis
• Seborrheic dermatitis
• Dandruff

Dosage:

Apply a thin layer to affected areas 1-2 times daily, depending on severity. For scalp, massage thoroughly into hair roots.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to any ingredient (hydrocortisone,  salicylic acid,  coal tar,  or other corticosteroids)
• Photosensitivity conditions (lupus erythematosus) or sunlight allergy

Precautions:

• Stop use if you experience irritation,  sensitivity,  excessive dryness,  or any adverse reactions.
• Prolonged use,  extensive body coverage,  occlusive applications,  or use on children requires extra caution due to potential systemic effects of corticosteroids.
• Avoid excessive UV/sunlight exposure for 24 hours after application due to photosensitizing Coal Tar.
• Do not use during psoriasis flare-ups,  as it may trigger total body exfoliation.
• Safety during pregnancy,  lactation,  and for children is not established.

Warnings:

• For external use only.  Avoid eyes and broken/inflamed skin.
• May stain skin,  hair,  and fabric.

Adverse Reactions:

• Topical corticosteroids:  burning,  itching,  irritation,  dryness
• Coal tar:  skin irritation,  acne-like eruptions,  photosensitization,  folliculitis,  hypertrichosis,  hypopigmentation,  skin maceration,  secondary infection,  skin atrophy,  stride,  and miliaria
• Salicylic acid:  dermatitis
