Composition:

Each film-coated tablet contains: Levocetirizine Dihydrochloride (M.S).5mg

?Indications:

EtrizineL tablets are indicated in patients 6 years and above for the treatment of allergic conditions such as allergic rhinitis (seasonal and perennial), allergic conjunctivitis, and chronic idiopathic urticaria

?Mode of Action:

EtrizineL is a potent, selective, peripheral H1 receptor antagonist with negligible effects on other receptors

?Dosage:

• ?In adults and children older than 6 years: The recommended daily dose of Etrizine-L is 5mg
• ?In children aged 2 to 6 years: The recommended daily dose of Etrizine-L tablets is 2.5mg in two divided doses
• ?In patients with renal impairment: The dose should be adjusted according to creatinine clearance

?Pharmacokinetics:

• ?Etrizine-L tablets reach peak plasma levels in approximately 1 hour
• ?They achieve steadystate plasma levels by the second day
• ?Etrizine-L tablets are extensively bound to blood components, with approximately 76% as the free fraction
• ?Poorly metabolized (14% of the total oral dose)

?Pharmacodynamics:

• ?Double affinity for human H1 receptors compared to cetirizine
• ?No effect on the QT interval
• ?More effective in treating seasonal allergic rhinitis during prolonged pollen exposure compared to desloratadine
• ?Rapid onset of action (1 hour) and longer duration compared to desloratadine
• ?Superior in treating nasal congestion after the first dose

?Contraindications:
