Each Ziton capsule contains 250mg of Azithromycin (as dihydrate) USP, an effective antibiotic for various bacterial infections

Indication:

ZITON CAPSULE   is recommended for the treatment of upper respiratory tract infections, including pharyngitis, tonsillitis, sinusitis, and otitis media It is also effective in lower respiratory tract infections such as acute bronchitis and pneumonia Additionally, Ziton is indicated for skin and soft tissue infections and incomplete genital infections caused by Chlamydia trachomatis in both men and women

 Dosage  and Administration:

For most infections, the recommended dosage is two capsules once daily for three days An alternative dosage regimen is two capsules on the first day, followed by one capsule daily for the next four days In the case of Chlamydia trachomatis infections, four capsules can be taken as a single dose

Side  Effects and Precautions:

• Most people tolerate ZITON CAPSULE well with few side effects.
• Occasional mild to moderate side effects may include:
  • Nausea
  • Abdominal pain
  • Vomiting
  • Gas
  • Diarrhea
  • Loose stools

Contraindication and Drug Interaction:

Patients with known hypersensitivity to Azithromycin or severe hepatic disease  must not take Ziton.  Antacids reduce its absorption,  so  take Ziton one hour before or two hours after taking an antacid.
