  • Use on eyelids with care
  • Supervision should oversee the treatment of psoriasis patients.
  • Infected lesions may require systemic antibiotic therapy
  • In the case of infection spreading, discontinue Clobederm Cream

Pregnancy & Lactation:

FAQs

Is Clobederm Cream available without a prescription?

No. Clobederm Cream contains Clobetasol Propionate, a Class 1 super-potent corticosteroid. It is strictly prescription-only (Rx). A valid prescription from a registered dermatologist or medical practitioner is required to purchase it.

What conditions does Clobederm Cream treat?

Clobederm Cream is indicated for resistant inflammatory skin conditions unresponsive to less potent steroids, including psoriasis (excluding widespread plaque psoriasis), recalcitrant eczema, lichen planus, discoid lupus erythematosus, and other steroid-resistant dermatoses.

How long can I use Clobederm Cream?

Clobederm Cream must not be used continuously for more than 2–4 weeks without physician review. It is a super-potent corticosteroid and prolonged use carries significant risks of skin atrophy, stretch marks, and systemic effects including adrenal suppression.

What are the risks of prolonged Clobetasol Propionate use?

Prolonged or excessive use of Clobetasol Propionate can cause skin thinning (atrophy), striae (stretch marks), telangiectasia, hyperpigmentation, hypertrichosis, and in serious cases adrenal gland suppression due to systemic absorption. Always use the minimum amount for the shortest effective duration.

Can I use Clobederm Cream on my face?

Facial use requires strict dermatologist supervision and is generally avoided due to the high risk of skin thinning, perioral dermatitis, and steroid-induced rosacea with potent corticosteroids on facial skin.
