Moxiget Tablets 400mg are an effective antibiotic treatment used to combat bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms. These tablets contain Moxifloxacin, a powerful fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits the replication of bacteria by interfering with their DNA functions. By targeting and blocking the DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, essential enzymes for bacterial DNA replication, Moxifloxacin prevents bacteria from multiplying, ultimately killing them.
Moxifloxacin, the active ingredient in Moxiget Tablets, works by inhibiting the enzymes responsible for bacterial DNA replication. This leads to the disruption of the bacteria’s DNA functions, making it impossible for them to multiply or repair themselves. This makes Moxiget a bactericidal antibiotic, effective against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria.
Effective against respiratory tract infections like pneumonia and acute bacterial sinusitis.
Used for treating chronic bronchitis exacerbations caused by bacterial infections.
Inhibits bacterial replication by targeting essential enzymes that bacteria need to reproduce and repair.
Moxiget 400mg is indicated for the treatment of infections caused by bacteria that are susceptible to Moxifloxacin. These include:
Acute bacterial sinusitis caused by organisms like Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae.
Community-acquired pneumonia caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae.
Acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis caused by pathogens like Streptococcus pneumoniae and Haemophilus influenzae.
Common Side Effects:
Abdominal discomfort, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea.
Headache, dizziness, and insomnia.

Moxiget should be used with caution in patients with conditions like myasthenia gravis, severe liver or kidney disease, and prolonged QT intervals.
Consult your healthcare provider before use if you are on other medications like antacids, diuretics, or heart medications, as these may interact with Moxifloxacin.
