Senora 2.5mg Letrozole Tablet – Infertility & Breast Cancer Treatment
Description
Senora 2.5mg is a prescription aromatase inhibitor (AI) containing Letrozole 2.5mg, indicated for two distinct clinical uses: ovulation induction in women with infertility (particularly those with polycystic ovary syndrome or unexplained anovulation) and adjuvant or extended adjuvant treatment of hormone receptor-positive breast cancer in postmenopausal women.
As an aromatase inhibitor, Letrozole competitively and reversibly inhibits aromatase (CYP19A1), the enzyme responsible for converting androgens to oestrogens in peripheral tissues. In postmenopausal women, oestrogen deprivation via aromatase inhibition suppresses hormone-sensitive tumour growth and reduces risk of recurrence. In pre- and peri-menopausal women with infertility, low-dose Letrozole stimulates follicular development and ovulation by temporarily reducing oestrogen-mediated negative feedback on the pituitary-ovarian axis.
Senora 2.5mg is taken orally once daily; the duration of therapy differs significantly between oncology (up to 5 years extended adjuvant therapy) and infertility (typically days 2–6 of the menstrual cycle). Bone density monitoring is recommended for long-term oncology use. Letrozole is contraindicated in pregnancy — effective contraception must be used during fertility cycles if not attempting conception that cycle. Common side effects include hot flushes, arthralgia, fatigue, and headache.
Senora 2.5mg is a prescription-required medication. Submit your valid prescription via email: sales@derma.pk or WhatsApp: +92-320-5999650. Nationwide delivery available across Pakistan.
