Nassa 30mg Tablets contain Mirtazapine 30mg, a NaSSA (Noradrenergic and Specific Serotonergic Antidepressant). At this higher dose, noradrenergic activity increases substantially, which comparatively reduces the sedating antihistamine effect seen at 15mg — a clinically important distinction. This makes the 30mg dose suitable for patients who need antidepressant efficacy without excessive daytime sedation.
Nassa 30mg is indicated for major depressive disorder (MDD) in adults, including cases with concurrent anxiety, poor appetite, and disturbed sleep. Mirtazapine's presynaptic α2-adrenergic receptor antagonism drives increased norepinephrine and serotonin release, while 5-HT2/5-HT3 blockade provides anxiolytic benefit and reduces nausea.
