Description
Onamed Capsule 150mg contains Fluconazole, a synthetic triazole antifungal agent manufactured by High-Q. Each capsule provides a single-dose oral antifungal treatment for Candida infections as prescribed by a physician.
Fluconazole inhibits fungal cytochrome P450–dependent 14-alpha-demethylase, an enzyme required for the conversion of lanosterol to ergosterol, a key component of fungal cell membranes. This selective inhibition disrupts fungal membrane integrity, leading to fungal cell death.
Onamed is indicated for the treatment of fungal infections including vaginal candidiasis (vaginal yeast infection), oropharyngeal and oesophageal candidiasis (oral thrush), skin candidiasis, and certain systemic Candida infections, as determined by a physician.
