Terbiderm Broad Spectrum Antifungal Cream — Terbinafine 1%

Terbiderm Broad Spectrum Antifungal Cream by Atco Pharma contains Terbinafine Hydrochloride 1%, a highly effective allylamine antifungal that works by inhibiting squalene epoxidase in fungal cell membranes, causing a lethal accumulation of squalene and disrupting ergosterol biosynthesis. This broad-spectrum action delivers both fungicidal and fungistatic effects against dermatophytes, moulds, and Candida. Prescription required.

Indicated for tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris (jock itch), tinea corporis (ringworm), cutaneous candidiasis, and onychomycosis (fungal nail infection). Concentrates in skin, hair, and nails for targeted, sustained action. Not effective for pityriasis versicolor.

As directed by your dermatologist. Apply a thin layer of Terbiderm Cream to the affected and surrounding skin once or twice daily. Treatment duration varies by infection type: tinea cruris and tinea corporis — 1 to 2 weeks; tinea pedis — 2 to 4 weeks; cutaneous candidiasis — 2 weeks; onychomycosis — follow your doctor's guidance (typically weeks to months). For external use only. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Continue treatment for the full prescribed duration even if symptoms improve.

Q: Do I need a prescription for Terbiderm Cream? A: Yes. Terbiderm contains Terbinafine, a prescription-strength antifungal in Pakistan. Consult a dermatologist before use. Q: How quickly does Terbiderm Cream work? A: Many patients see improvement within 1 week. Full clearance depends on the type of infection — ring worm and jock itch typically clear in 1–2 weeks; athlete's foot may take 2–4 weeks. Q: Can Terbiderm Cream treat nail fungus? A: Yes — Terbinafine is effective against onychomycosis (fungal nail infections), though topical treatment has limitations for deep nail infections. Your dermatologist may recommend oral Terbinafine for severe nail fungus. Q: Is Terbiderm Cream safe during pregnancy? A: Use only if the potential benefit outweighs the risk. Consult your doctor before use if pregnant or breastfeeding — Terbinafine is excreted in breast milk. Q: Is Terbiderm effective for pityriasis versicolor? A: No — Terbinafine is not effective for pityriasis versicolor. Consult your dermatologist for appropriate treatment.
