Tigasor 25mg Capsules by Maxitech contain Acitretin 25mg, a higher-strength systemic oral retinoid for the treatment of severe cases of psoriasis that have not responded to other treatments. Acitretin works by regulating abnormal skin cell growth and reducing inflammation, improving psoriatic plaques. It is a higher-strength option in our psoriasis care range.

Critical Safety Warnings
- Teratogenicity: Acitretin is highly teratogenic. It must never be used during pregnancy. Women of childbearing potential must use effective contraception during treatment and for 3 years after stopping acitretin. Failure to do so risks severe, irreversible birth defects.
- Liver and Lipid Monitoring: Regular monitoring of liver enzymes and lipid levels (cholesterol and triglycerides) is required throughout treatment. Your dermatologist will arrange and review these tests.
- Prescription Only: This medication must only be initiated and supervised by a qualified dermatologist. Do not adjust the dose without medical guidance.
- No Alcohol: Do not consume alcohol during treatment or for 2 months after stopping, as alcohol can convert acitretin to etretinate, significantly extending the teratogenicity risk period.
