5 Skin Types for The Face
This image is a helpful guide to the five most common skin types: normal, oily, dry, combination, and sensitive.
Normal skin:
Well-balanced, neither too oily nor too dry. Smooth appearance with a healthy, radiant glow.
Oily skin:
Shiny and has enlarged pores. Prone to acne and pimples. Sebaceous glands produce excess oil, leading to clogged pores and breakouts.
Dry skin:
Flaky, dry, or red. May feel tight and look dull. Lines and wrinkles may develop more easily.
Combination skin:
Has areas that are both oily and dry. The T-zone (forehead, nose, chin) is often oily, while cheeks may be dry.
Sensitive skin:
Easily irritated. May be red, blotchy, or itchy. Choose gentle, fragrance-free products and always apply sunscreen daily.
Tips for healthy skin:
- Cleanse your face twice a day with a gentle cleanser.
- Moisturize daily, even if you have oily skin.
- Use sunscreen every day, even on cloudy days.
- Eat a healthy diet and drink plenty of water.
