Who it suits
Anyone with sun damage, blotchy or uneven colour, redness, active acne or enlarged pores who wants a treatment with almost no downtime. IPL works best on lighter to medium skin tones; the doctor checks your skin type first, because darker or recently tanned skin needs different settings or a different treatment such as Pico Laser.
Duration and results
A session takes 20–30 minutes and feels like small snaps of a rubber band. You can return to normal activity the same day; mild redness settles within hours and dark spots look darker for 3–7 days before they shed. Most people need 3–5 sessions spaced 3–4 weeks apart, then a maintenance session once or twice a year. Strict sunscreen use is essential between sessions.
