Advanced Diode Laser Hair Removal for Full Face: Expert Dermatologist Treatment
Description
Diode Laser Hair Removal — Full Face
In-clinic diode laser hair removal for the full face — including upper lip, chin, cheeks, sideburns and jawline — at Skin Clinic by Dr. Eram Razzaq, Bahria Town Lahore. The face is the most hormone-sensitive area for hair growth and is best approached with careful expectations.
What to expect
Full face typically needs 8–12 sessions spaced 4–6 weeks apart, with regular top-ups. If you have PCOS, thyroid imbalance or other endocrine factors, a hormonal review is advisable before starting. Diode laser works on dark, coarse hair; it does not reliably treat white, grey, red or very fine vellus (peach-fuzz) hair — and most adult women's facial hair contains a mix, so realistic expectations are essential.

Usage & Benefits
- Reduces shaving, threading and waxing frequency across the whole face.
- Cooled diode handpiece is more comfortable than IPL for sensitive facial skin.
- Can also reduce ingrown hair and post-threading pigmentation over time.
- Honest limits: face is hormone-driven; 8-12 sessions are typical and top-ups are expected for life. Diode does NOT reliably treat white, grey, red or fine vellus (peach-fuzz) hair - most adult facial hair is a mix, so total clearance is rarely realistic. Permanent removal cannot be guaranteed.

Pre-care:
- Do NOT wax, pluck or thread for 2-4 weeks. Shave 12-24 hours before.
- No retinoids or acids on the face for 5-7 days.
- No sun exposure or self-tanners for 4 weeks before AND after.
- Disclose photosensitising drugs, recent isotretinoin (6 months), pregnancy, hormonal conditions, and any cosmetic injectables in the area.
Procedure: protective goggles are mandatory. Cooled handpiece is passed over each facial zone in sections. Most describe a quick warm snap. Upper lip and chin can feel sharper.
Aftercare: skin may be pink for a few hours. No makeup for 12 hours. Avoid hot showers, sauna, gym, perfumed products and active skincare for 24-48 hours. Daily broad-spectrum SPF 30+ is mandatory (UV after laser is a major pigmentation risk). Shave only between sessions - no waxing, threading or plucking.
FAQs
How many sessions for the full face?
Typically 8-12 sessions at 4-6 week intervals, then ongoing top-ups.
Will it remove all my facial hair?
It significantly reduces dark, coarse hair. Fine vellus / peach-fuzz will not respond.
Does it hurt?
A warm snap. Upper lip and chin can feel sharper. Cooling tips help.
Suitable in pregnancy?
No - laser hair removal is generally not performed during pregnancy.
I have PCOS - will it work?
It can reduce density, but PCOS-driven follicles reactivate more often, so expect more top-ups. A hormonal review is often advised first.
What about fillers or Botox?
Tell your clinician. Laser sessions are usually spaced around injectables.
Will it lighten my skin?
No. We do not offer skin lightening. Laser targets hair, not pigment of the skin.
Contraindications?
Pregnancy, photosensitising drugs, recent isotretinoin, active facial infection or cold sore flare, recent sun-tan, gold deposits in skin, history of melasma without specialist clearance.
Cost?
Confirmed at consultation.
