Description
Azopt Eye Drops 1% 5ml contain Brinzolamide, a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor used to lower elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. By inhibiting carbonic anhydrase in the ciliary processes of the eye, Brinzolamide reduces the formation of aqueous humour, thereby decreasing IOP and protecting the optic nerve from damage.
Azopt is supplied as a white to off-white ophthalmic suspension and is typically instilled one drop two to three times daily as prescribed. It offers an effective treatment option when beta-blockers alone are insufficient or contraindicated. Regular IOP monitoring is recommended during long-term use.

How To Use
1. Wash hands thoroughly before use.
2. Shake the bottle gently before each use.
3. Tilt your head back and pull down the lower eyelid to form a small pocket.
4. Instil one drop of Azopt into the affected eye(s) as prescribed (typically 2–3 times daily).
5. Close your eye for 1–2 minutes and gently press the inner corner to reduce systemic absorption.
6. Replace the cap and store the bottle upright at room temperature.
