Benprost 20mcg Tablet contains Beraprost Sodium, the world's first orally bioavailable prostacyclin (PGI2) analog. As an IP receptor agonist, Beraprost dilates pulmonary blood vessels, reduces pulmonary vascular resistance, and inhibits platelet aggregation — addressing the key pathophysiological drivers of pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH).
PAH is a progressive and potentially life-threatening condition characterised by elevated pulmonary artery pressure, right heart strain, and severely reduced exercise capacity. Benprost improves exercise tolerance, reduces dyspnoea (breathlessness), and improves WHO functional class in PAH patients.
