Description
Btno Tablets 10mg contain Bambuterol Hydrochloride 10mg, a long-acting oral prodrug of terbutaline. Bambuterol stimulates beta-2 adrenoceptors in bronchial smooth muscle, causing relaxation and widening of the airways. It also inhibits the release of spasmogens and reduces mucosal oedema caused by inflammatory mediators, while enhancing mucociliary clearance to help remove mucus from the airways.
Btno Tablets are indicated for the prevention and management of asthma, bronchospasm, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema in adults and children aged 12 years and above. Once-daily dosing makes this formulation convenient for long-term respiratory management.
Common side effects include fine tremor, palpitations, headache, and muscle cramps — generally dose-related and mild.
