Cedrox BD 500mg Tablets — Twice-Daily Cefadroxil (20s)

Cedrox BD 500mg Tablets contain cefadroxil 500 mg in a tablet format intended for BD (twice-daily) dosing. Cefadroxil is a first-generation oral cephalosporin antibiotic that disrupts bacterial cell-wall synthesis, producing bactericidal activity against susceptible Gram-positive organisms (streptococci, methicillin-sensitive staphylococci) and selected Gram-negatives. The 20-tablet pack is designed to support a typical 5- to 10-day course.

This strength is widely prescribed for streptococcal pharyngitis and tonsillitis, uncomplicated urinary tract infections, mild-to-moderate skin and soft-tissue infections such as impetigo and cellulitis, and other infections caused by sensitive organisms. As cefadroxil is a beta-lactam, patients with a documented severe allergy to penicillins or other cephalosporins should NOT take it without specialist guidance because of potential cross-reactivity.

Cedrox BD is prescription required. Always complete the full course exactly as directed — even if you feel better — to reduce relapse and antimicrobial resistance. Dose may need to be reduced in significant renal impairment. Stop and seek urgent care if you develop a rash, facial swelling, breathing difficulty or severe watery/bloody diarrhoea. Browse our antibiotics collection for related options or the respiratory care range for symptomatic support.
