Cefspan Suspension is a 30ml oral suspension containing Cefixime 100mg per 5ml, a third-generation cephalosporin antibiotic manufactured by Barrett Hodgson Pakistan. It is dispensed only on a valid prescription from a qualified physician.

Cefixime inhibits bacterial cell wall synthesis by binding to penicillin-binding proteins, leading to bacterial cell lysis and death. It demonstrates broad-spectrum activity against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, and is resistant to many beta-lactamases.

Cefspan Suspension is indicated for bacterial infections including urinary tract infections (UTIs), otitis media (ear infections), pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis, and uncomplicated gonorrhea, as determined by a physician. The antibiotic suspension form is particularly suited for patients who require liquid formulations.

This is a prescription-only medication. Shake the bottle well before each use. Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms improve. Patients with known penicillin allergy should inform their physician before use due to the possibility of cross-reactivity. Use with caution in patients with impaired renal function.
