Cipotic Ear Drops 5ml contain Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride 0.3%, a potent Rx fluoroquinolone antibiotic that treats bacterial infections in the ear. It is effective against acute otitis media (AOM) and acute otitis externa (AOE) in patients aged 6 months and older. Ciprofloxacin kills bacteria by inhibiting DNA gyrase, preventing replication and eliminating the infection. Note: unlike Cipocain, Cipotic does not contain lignocaine — it is a single-agent ciprofloxacin formulation.
