About Descol 20mg
Descol 20mg Tablets contain Atorvastatin 20mg, a higher-dose statin for more potent cholesterol control. Atorvastatin inhibits HMG-CoA reductase, reducing LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides while increasing HDL (good cholesterol), and significantly lowering the risk of heart attack, stroke, and atherosclerosis. The 20mg dose is prescribed when a stronger lipid-lowering effect is required or when cardiovascular risk is elevated.
Uses
Prescribed for high cholesterol, hypertriglyceridaemia, and cardiovascular risk reduction in adults with diabetes, hypertension, or family history of heart disease.
