Description
Digestine Capsules contain Metoclopramide Resinate, a prescription gastrointestinal stimulant and centrally acting antiemetic. Metoclopramide acts on D2 dopamine receptors in the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) and on the gut wall to block nausea signals while simultaneously enhancing gastric motility — helping food move efficiently from the stomach into the small intestine.
Digestine is prescribed for nausea and vomiting associated with various conditions including chemotherapy-induced nausea, post-operative gastric stasis, diabetic gastroparesis, and motion sickness. It is also used to manage chronic indigestion and heartburn symptoms attributable to delayed gastric emptying.
Metoclopramide is intended for short-term use. Prolonged use may lead to tardive dyskinesia — an irreversible movement disorder — and should be avoided. Common side effects include drowsiness, restlessness, and fatigue. Use only under medical supervision with the prescribed dose and duration.
A valid prescription is required. Order at Derma.pk with nationwide delivery, or reach us at sales@derma.pk / WhatsApp +92-320-5999650.

FAQs
What are Digestine Capsules used for?
Digestine Capsules are prescribed for nausea, vomiting, delayed gastric emptying (gastroparesis), indigestion, and motion sickness under medical supervision.
Is Metoclopramide safe for long-term use?
No. Metoclopramide should only be used short-term (generally up to 12 weeks) due to the risk of tardive dyskinesia — a potentially irreversible movement disorder associated with prolonged use.
Can Digestine Capsules be taken for pregnancy-related nausea?
Only if prescribed by a physician. Metoclopramide may be used in certain clinical situations during pregnancy, but the decision rests entirely with the treating doctor.
