FAQs

Is a prescription required for Effigenta Cream?

Yes. Effigenta Cream is a prescription-only combination of Betamethasone and Gentamicin. Consult a dermatologist before use.

What is Effigenta Cream used for?

It treats inflammatory skin conditions complicated by secondary bacterial infections — including contact dermatitis, eczema, allergic dermatitis, intertrigo, neurodermatitis, and psoriasis.

How long should I use Effigenta Cream?

Use only as long as prescribed by your doctor. Prolonged use of corticosteroid-containing creams can cause skin thinning, stretch marks, and other adverse effects. Always complete the course as directed.

Can Effigenta Cream be used on the face?

It should not be used on facial skin conditions like rosacea or perioral dermatitis unless specifically directed by your doctor.

Is Effigenta Cream safe during pregnancy?

Pregnant women must exercise caution. Large amounts or prolonged use of topical corticosteroids during pregnancy may have adverse effects. Consult your doctor.

What are the common side effects?

Possible side effects include allergic reactions, skin irritation, skin thinning, and stretch marks — particularly with prolonged use. Discontinue and consult your doctor if irritation worsens.

Can I use Effigenta Cream if I have a perforated eardrum?

No. Avoid using Effigenta near the ear if the eardrum is damaged.
