Exempa-Lin Met XR 25/5/1000mg is an extended-release triple combination tablet prescribed for adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus who require stronger glycaemic control beyond dual therapy. It contains three complementary active ingredients: Empagliflozin 25mg (SGLT2 inhibitor), Linagliptin 5mg (DPP-4 inhibitor), and Metformin HCl 1000mg (biguanide).

Linagliptin increases insulin secretion and reduces glucagon levels in a glucose-dependent manner.
