Eyprost Solution
Description
Eyprost Solution is a prescription-only ophthalmic medication containing a prostaglandin analogue, indicated for the treatment of glaucoma and ocular hypertension. It works by increasing aqueous humour outflow from the eye, effectively lowering elevated intraocular pressure (IOP) — the primary risk factor for progressive optic nerve damage and vision loss.
Glaucoma is a chronic, progressive condition requiring consistent long-term management. Eyprost is typically applied once daily in the evening. Regular and uninterrupted use is essential to maintain target eye pressure and protect the optic nerve from further damage. Patients with ocular hypertension — elevated eye pressure without visible optic nerve damage — also benefit from this treatment to prevent progression to glaucoma.
Rx — Prescription Required. Use only as directed by your ophthalmologist. Common side effects include mild redness, irritation, and gradual changes in iris colour or eyelash growth with prolonged use. Contact your ophthalmologist if significant discomfort occurs or vision changes are noticed.
