Description
About Fineron 10mg
Fineron 10mg Tablets contain Finerenone, a non-steroidal mineralocorticoid receptor antagonist (MRA) that selectively blocks aldosterone receptors in the kidney and heart. Unlike older steroidal MRAs such as spironolactone, Finerenone has higher selectivity and fewer hormonal side effects. It reduces inflammation and fibrosis in the kidneys and cardiovascular system, thereby slowing the progression of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and reducing cardiovascular risk in adults with type 2 diabetes.
Uses
Fineron 10mg is prescribed for adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) associated with type 2 diabetes to slow kidney disease progression, reduce albuminuria, and lower the risk of cardiovascular events such as heart failure and hospitalisation. Available on prescription only. Use as directed by physician.
How to Use

FAQs
What is Fineron 10mg (Finerenone) used for?
It protects kidneys and reduces cardiovascular risk in adults with chronic kidney disease (CKD) associated with type 2 diabetes.
How does Finerenone differ from older MRAs like spironolactone?
Finerenone is a non-steroidal MRA with high kidney/heart selectivity and fewer hormonal side effects than steroidal MRAs.
Why must I monitor potassium during treatment?
Finerenone can raise potassium levels (hyperkalaemia). Regular blood tests are essential to ensure potassium stays within a safe range.
Can Fineron be taken with other diabetes medications?
Yes, but only under your nephrologist's guidance. Drug interactions and electrolyte levels must be carefully managed.
