Reduction of Risk of Relapse
Flutiprop Cream is also useful for reducing the risk of relapse in chronic recurrent atopic eczema following successful treatment of an acute episode.
Dosage & Administration
For adults, children, and infants aged three months and over, apply a thin film of Flutiprop Cream to affected skin areas once or twice daily. After effective treatment of an acute episode, the application frequency should be reduced to once daily or twice weekly, combined with daily emollient use. Regular evaluation of the condition is essential.
Contraindications
Flutiprop Cream is not indicated for:
- Acne vulgaris
- Perioral dermatitis
- Primary cutaneous viral infections (e.g., herpes simplex, chickenpox)
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredients
Warnings & Precautions
- To prevent adrenal suppression, use Flutiprop Cream cautiously in infants and small children. Prolonged application, especially in infants, may lead to systemic absorption of corticosteroids. Caution is needed when applying Flutiprop Cream to the face, and it should not enter the eyes.
- In psoriasis treatment, patient supervision is crucial to avoid rebound relapses and tolerance. Appropriate antimicrobial therapy is necessary for infected inflammatory lesions. Use of occlusive dressings may encourage bacterial infection.
Pregnancy & Lactation
During pregnancy, consider using Flutiprop Cream only if the potential benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus. The excretion of Fluticasone Propionate in human breast milk has not been thoroughly studied.
Adverse Reactions
Adverse events may include secondary infection, hypersensitivity, features of hypercortisolism, dilation of superficial blood vessels, skin changes (thinning, striae, hypertrichosis, hypopigmentation), allergic contact dermatitis, and more.
Storage
Protect from light, heat, and moisture. Store between 15°C to 30°C. Keep all drugs out of the reach of children. Check the expiry date on the packaging.
