Hiflox 250mg Tablet contains Ciprofloxacin HCl 250mg, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections, including urinary tract infections (UTIs), respiratory tract infections (pneumonia, bronchitis), skin and soft tissue infections, gastrointestinal infections, and bone and joint infections. Ciprofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, preventing bacterial replication.
Important precautions: Fluoroquinolones are associated with QT prolongation, tendon rupture risk (especially with concurrent corticosteroids), and should be used with caution in patients with epilepsy or CNS disorders. Complete the full prescribed course to prevent antibiotic resistance. Avoid antacids and dairy products within 2 hours of dosing. A valid prescription is required.
