Indokast 10 mg Tablets – Montelukast for Asthma & Allergy Prevention

Indokast 10 mg Tablets contain Montelukast, a leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA) used for the long-term prevention and management of asthma and treatment of allergic rhinitis. Leukotrienes are inflammatory chemicals released in the airways that cause bronchoconstriction, mucus production, and swelling. Montelukast selectively blocks cysteinyl leukotriene receptors (CysLT1), preventing these reactions and keeping airways open.

Indokast is taken once daily for preventive asthma control — it is not a rescue inhaler and should not be used to treat acute asthma attacks. It is particularly useful for patients with exercise-induced bronchoconstriction and those with both asthma and seasonal allergies.
