Jezeta 10/40mg Tab combines Ezetimibe 10mg and Atorvastatin 40mg — the highest-strength formulation in the Jezeta range — for patients with significantly elevated cholesterol or established cardiovascular disease requiring aggressive lipid management. Ezetimibe blocks intestinal NPC1L1-mediated cholesterol absorption, while Atorvastatin 40mg provides potent hepatic HMG-CoA reductase inhibition, delivering maximum reductions in LDL cholesterol from both dietary and endogenous sources.
This dual therapy achieves major reductions in LDL (bad cholesterol) and triglycerides, raises HDL (good cholesterol), and substantially reduces the risk of major cardiovascular events including heart attack, stroke, and coronary artery disease. Important: At higher statin doses, the risk of myopathy and rhabdomyolysis is increased — report any unexplained muscle pain urgently. Regular liver function tests (LFT) are essential. Strictly contraindicated in pregnancy. A valid prescription is required.

How To Use
PRESCRIPTION ONLY — take exactly as directed by your doctor.
Usual dose: One tablet once daily, at the same time each day.
Can be taken with or without food.
Swallow whole with water. Do not crush or split.
Maintain cholesterol-lowering diet and exercise programme.
Regular LFT and lipid panel monitoring is mandatory at this dose.
Strictly contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
Report any unexplained muscle pain, weakness, tenderness, or dark urine immediately — myopathy risk is higher at 40mg dose.
