Kunoxy Plus 0.6% Ear Drops (5ml) by Remington Pharmaceutical contain ofloxacin 0.6% — a higher-concentration formulation of the standard Kunoxy 0.3% drops. Indicated for bacterial infections of the outer and middle ear where a more potent antibacterial concentration is clinically required, Kunoxy Plus delivers ofloxacin, a broad-spectrum fluoroquinolone, at double the strength of the standard formulation.
Ofloxacin inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, effectively killing susceptible bacteria responsible for otitis externa and otitis media. The elevated 0.6% concentration ensures potent local antibacterial action at the infection site. As with all topical ear antibiotics, Kunoxy Plus minimises systemic absorption and provides targeted treatment with a favourable safety profile compared to oral antibiotics.
