FAQs
Is No-Boyle B Cream available without a prescription?
No. No-Boyle B Cream contains Fusidic Acid (antibiotic) and Betamethasone Valerate (corticosteroid). It is a prescription-only medication and should only be used under the supervision of a registered medical practitioner.
What is the difference between No-Boyle and No-Boyle B Cream?
No-Boyle Cream contains Fusidic Acid alone, while No-Boyle B Cream combines Fusidic Acid with Betamethasone Valerate. The "B" variant is indicated for skin infections that also involve significant inflammation or inflammatory dermatoses.
How long should I use No-Boyle B Cream?
Typically applied 2–3 times daily for 7 days. For chronic conditions like acne vulgaris, your dermatologist may extend the treatment period. Do not use longer than directed to avoid antibiotic resistance and corticosteroid side effects.
Can No-Boyle B Cream be used on the face?
Yes. It is non-staining and suitable for facial and scalp infections. However, prolonged facial use of the corticosteroid component requires medical supervision.
What bacteria does Fusidic Acid target?
Fusidic Acid is effective against staphylococci (including methicillin-resistant strains in some formulations), streptococci, Propionibacterium, Corynebacterium minutissimum, and other fusidic acid-sensitive organisms.
