Redupres AM 10/160mg Tablets combine two established antihypertensive agents: Amlodipine 10mg, a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker (CCB), and Valsartan 160mg, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB). This is the highest-strength formulation in the Redupres AM range and is prescribed for patients with moderate-to-severe hypertension who require dual-mechanism blood pressure control or who are not adequately managed on either agent alone.
Amlodipine relaxes arterial smooth muscle by blocking L-type calcium channels, reducing peripheral vascular resistance.
