Rozet Ez 20mg/10mg Tablets
Description
Rozet EZ 20mg/10mg Tablets combine Rosuvastatin 20mg and Ezetimibe 10mg, delivering a high-intensity dual-mechanism cholesterol-lowering therapy. Rosuvastatin inhibits HMG-CoA reductase in the liver, blocking cholesterol biosynthesis and upregulating LDL receptor expression, while Ezetimibe reduces intestinal cholesterol absorption by blocking the Niemann-Pick C1-Like 1 (NPC1L1) transporter. Together, they achieve substantially greater LDL reduction than either agent alone.
Rozet EZ 20mg/10mg is indicated for patients with hyperlipidaemia, high cardiovascular risk, or established atherosclerotic disease who require intensive LDL lowering. The higher rosuvastatin dose (20mg) compared to Rosca EZ provides more aggressive lipid management, making it suitable for patients with more significantly elevated cholesterol or greater cardiovascular risk burden.
Clinical monitoring of lipid profiles, liver enzymes, and muscle health is recommended during treatment. Side effects may include myalgia, headache, and gastrointestinal symptoms; rare cases of elevated liver enzymes or myopathy should be reported promptly. Drug interactions with fibrates, niacin, cyclosporine, and certain antibiotics should be reviewed with your physician.
