Santochlor Eye/ear Drops 10ml (chloramphenicol) — Antibiotic
Description
Santochlor Eye/Ear Drops 10ml — Chloramphenicol Antibiotic
Santochlor 10ml Drops contain Chloramphenicol, a broad-spectrum antibiotic that inhibits bacterial protein synthesis. It is prescribed for bacterial eye infections (conjunctivitis, keratitis, blepharitis) and ear infections (otitis externa), and after eye surgery to prevent secondary infection. Active against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative organisms.
Use under ophthalmologist or ENT guidance. Complete the full prescribed course even if symptoms resolve to prevent resistance. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to keep the bottle sterile. Systemic absorption is uncommon but rare cases of aplastic anaemia have been reported with chloramphenicol — report unusual bruising, fatigue or infection promptly.
