Sita Met 50/1000mg Tablet

Sita Met 50/1000mg Tablet is a prescription fixed-dose combination of Sitagliptin 50mg (DPP-4 inhibitor) and Metformin 1000mg (biguanide) for the management of blood glucose in adults with Type 2 diabetes mellitus. Sitagliptin enhances incretin hormone activity to stimulate glucose-dependent insulin release and reduce glucagon, while Metformin decreases hepatic glucose production, improves insulin sensitivity, and reduces intestinal glucose absorption.

  • Active ingredients: Sitagliptin 50mg + Metformin 1000mg
  • Dual mechanism: DPP-4 inhibition (Sitagliptin) + biguanide action (Metformin)
  • Lowers fasting and post-meal blood glucose levels in Type 2 diabetes
  • Metformin 1000mg — highest standard dose for intensive glucose lowering
  • Prescription Rx combination — for Type 2 diabetes only, not Type 1
