Tobradex Eye Drops 0.1/0.3% 5ml – Tobramycin Dexamethasone
Description
Tobradex Eye Drops 0.1/0.3% 5ml combine Tobramycin (0.3%), an aminoglycoside antibiotic, with Dexamethasone (0.1%), a potent corticosteroid. This dual-action formulation is indicated for steroid-responsive ocular inflammatory conditions where concurrent bacterial infection or risk of infection exists, including post-operative inflammation following cataract surgery, bacterial conjunctivitis with associated inflammation, and other anterior-segment conditions requiring combined antibiotic and anti-inflammatory treatment.
Tobramycin targets a broad spectrum of gram-negative and gram-positive ocular pathogens, while Dexamethasone suppresses the inflammatory response to reduce redness, swelling, and discomfort. Tobradex is typically administered as one to two drops in the affected eye(s) every four to six hours, or as prescribed. Long-term corticosteroid use should be monitored for IOP elevation and cataract formation. Use only as directed by your healthcare provider.
