FAQs

Does Valisone-G Cream require a prescription?

Yes. Valisone-G Cream contains Betamethasone Dipropionate (a potent corticosteroid) and Gentamicin Sulphate (an antibiotic) and is a prescription-only medicine in Pakistan. Always use under dermatologist supervision.

What skin conditions is Valisone-G Cream used for?

It is indicated for psoriasis, eczema (atopic dermatitis), contact dermatitis, lichen planus, and other inflammatory skin conditions that are complicated by or at risk of secondary bacterial infections.

How long can I use Valisone-G Cream?

Treatment duration should be determined by your dermatologist. Potent corticosteroids like Betamethasone Dipropionate should generally not be used for extended periods without medical review. Discontinue if the condition is controlled, and do not restart without re-evaluation.

Can Valisone-G Cream be used on children?

Use in infants and children must be strictly supervised by a doctor. Prolonged use or large-area application increases the risk of systemic absorption and potential effects on growth and adrenal function.

What are the possible side effects?

Possible effects include burning, stinging, skin scaling, and follicular rash at the application site. Prolonged use may cause skin atrophy or systemic corticosteroid effects. Report any unusual symptoms to your dermatologist immediately.

Can I use Valisone-G Cream during pregnancy?

Use with caution during pregnancy. Avoid prolonged use or application over large body areas. Consult your doctor for guidance.
