Vericef 60 ml Suspension contains Cephradine 125 mg per 5 ml, a first-generation cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat a wide range of bacterial infections. Cephradine works by inhibiting the final transpeptidation step of peptidoglycan synthesis in bacterial cell walls. It binds to penicillin-binding proteins (PBPs), preventing proper cell wall formation and causing bacterial cell death through osmotic lysis.
Vericef Suspension is indicated for bacterial infections of the respiratory tract (pharyngitis, tonsillitis, bronchitis), urinary tract, skin and soft tissue, and middle ear (otitis media).
