E Scab Lotion is a topical treatment containing 5% Permethrin B.P., used to treat scabies and crab lice. Supplied in a 60ml bottle, it offers a practical solution for external use.
Indications
E Scab Lotion treats scabies and crab lice infestations, targeting the mites and lice responsible for these conditions.
How to Use
Adults (except the elderly) should apply the lotion to clean, dry skin over the whole body except the head, paying attention to areas between the fingers and toes, under the nails, and at the wrists, armpits, buttocks and genitalia. Children aged 2 and over may be treated as adults; those under 2, and adults over 70, should be treated under medical supervision. For crab lice in adults, apply enough to cover the pubic area, peri-anal region, thighs and trunk.
Contraindications
Do not use if you have a history of hypersensitivity to permethrin, any component of the product, other pyrethroids, or pyrethrins.
Warnings and Precautions
Avoid contact with the eyes. Wearing gloves can help prevent hand irritation, and accidental ingestion requires immediate medical attention. Complete the full course of treatment to avoid failure. Pregnant or breastfeeding women should use it only after consulting a healthcare professional.
Possible Side Effects
Reactions may include tingling (paraesthesia), eczema, skin swelling, rash, redness, itching, a burning sensation, irritation or skin discomfort. Speak to your doctor if these are severe or persistent.
Storage
Store below 30 degrees C, out of reach of children. For external use only - shake well before use.
