Adapco Forte Gel — Adapalene 0.3% (Forte Strength) | Prescription Retinoid Gel for Acne
Prescription required. Adapco Forte Gel by Atco Pharma contains Adapalene USP 0.3% w/w — the higher-strength Forte formulation of this third-generation retinoid gel. Adapalene normalises follicular keratinisation and reduces microcomedone formation, making it one of the most effective treatments for acne vulgaris. For patients aged 12 and above under dermatologist supervision.
Composition
Each gram contains: Adapalene BP 3mg (0.3% w/w) in gel base.
Mechanism of Action
Adapalene binds to specific nuclear retinoic acid receptors (RARs) and modulates follicular epithelial cell differentiation, keratinisation, and inflammation — reducing microcomedone formation without the high irritation profile of older retinoids.
Indications
- Acne vulgaris — comedonal, papular, and pustular forms
- Patients aged 12 years and above
Dosage and Administration
- Gently cleanse the face with a mild, non-abrasive cleanser; pat dry.
- Apply a thin film of Adapco Forte Gel to acne-affected areas once daily at night.
- Avoid the eye area, lips, nostrils, and mucous membranes.
- A mild transitory stinging or warmth after application is normal.
- If no improvement after 12 weeks, consult your dermatologist for re-evaluation.
Important: Sun Protection Required

How To Use
