Blaze Plus Tablets are a fixed-dose combination of Losartan Potassium (ARB) and Hydrochlorothiazide (HCTZ, thiazide diuretic), prescribed for patients with hypertension that requires more than one mechanism to achieve blood pressure control. How Does Blaze Plus Work?
Losartan blocks AT1 angiotensin II receptors, causing vasodilation and reducing aldosterone-mediated sodium retention. Hydrochlorothiazide acts on the distal convoluted tubule to inhibit sodium–chloride reabsorption, promoting natriuresis and reducing blood volume. These complementary mechanisms produce additive blood pressure lowering. Importantly, the potassium-retaining effect of the ARB partially offsets the potassium-wasting effect of the thiazide, reducing the risk of hypokalemia compared with HCTZ alone.

Side Effects
