Co Depricap Capsule – Fluoxetine + Olanzapine for Treatment-Resistant Depression
Co Depricap Capsule is a combination of Fluoxetine (an SSRI antidepressant) and Olanzapine (a second-generation antipsychotic). This dual-therapy formulation is prescribed for major depressive disorder (MDD) unresponsive to single-agent antidepressant therapy and for depressive episodes in bipolar disorder.
Fluoxetine elevates serotonin levels in the brain to relieve sadness, low energy, and anxiety. Olanzapine stabilises dopamine and serotonin activity, reducing agitation, mood swings, and sleep disturbance. Together they provide synergistic benefit in patients who do not achieve adequate relief from antidepressants alone.
This medicine must only be taken as directed by a psychiatrist. It is not suitable for self-medication. Regular psychiatric follow-up is mandatory to monitor response and safety.
