Description
Exval-A Tablets 5mg/80mg combine Amlodipine Besilate 5mg, a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker, and Valsartan 80mg, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), in a single tablet for the management of essential hypertension. This dual-mechanism approach provides additive blood pressure reduction superior to either agent alone.
Amlodipine relaxes vascular smooth muscle by blocking L-type calcium channels, reducing peripheral vascular resistance and afterload. Valsartan prevents angiotensin II from binding AT1 receptors, blocking the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS) cascade that drives vasoconstriction and sodium retention. Together, they reduce both systolic and diastolic blood pressure while offering complementary cardioprotective effects.
Exval-A is indicated when single-agent antihypertensive therapy is insufficient. Long-term adherence reduces the risk of serious cardiovascular events including stroke, myocardial infarction, and progressive heart failure. Blood pressure should be monitored regularly; renal function and serum potassium should be assessed periodically. For heart failure management, see also Cubil 50mg Sacubitril+Valsartan Tablets.
Exval-A is a prescription-required medication. Submit your valid prescription via email: sales@derma.pk or WhatsApp: +92-320-5999650. Nationwide delivery available across Pakistan.
