Fsid-h Fusidic Acid 2% + Hydrocortisone 1% Cream 15g
Description
Fsid-H Fusidic Acid 2% + Hydrocortisone Acetate 1% Cream 15g
Fsid-H Cream by Derma Tecno is a combination of Fusidic Acid and Hydrocortisone Acetate, offering a dual antibacterial and anti-inflammatory solution for various infected and inflamed skin conditions.
Composition
Each gram of Fsid-H Cream contains Fusidic Acid BP 20mg (2% w/w) and Hydrocortisone Acetate BP 10mg (1% w/w). This combines the potent antibacterial properties of Fusidic Acid with the anti-inflammatory and antipruritic effects of Hydrocortisone Acetate.
Properties
Fsid-H Cream is effective against a range of microorganisms, including Staphylococci, Streptococci, Corynebacteria, Neisseria, certain Clostridia, and Bacteroides.
Indications
Fsid-H Cream is indicated for:
- Eczema and dermatitis with secondary infections
- Atopic dermatitis
- Allergic dermatitis
- Seborrhoeic dermatitis
- Primary irritant dermatitis and itchy skin
Dosage and Application
The frequency of application depends on whether the lesions are covered or uncovered:
- Uncovered lesions: Apply Fsid-H 3–4 times daily.
- Covered lesions: Less frequent applications are sufficient.
Precautions
Avoid long-term continuous therapy, especially on the face, flexures, intertriginous areas, and in infants and children.
Topical steroids should not be extensively used during pregnancy, as systemic absorption may lead to fetal abnormalities in animals.
Hypersensitivity to any component of the cream is a contraindication.
Adverse Reactions
While hypersensitivity is rare, prolonged and intensive treatment with Fsid-H may cause local atrophic changes in the skin, including striae, thinning, and dilatation of superficial blood vessels, particularly in occlusive dressing or skin fold areas. Systemic absorption, sufficient to produce hypercorticism/adrenal suppression, can occur with prolonged or extensive use, especially in infants and children. Caution is necessary when applying topical steroids near the eye, as it may lead to glaucoma if the cream enters the eye.
Storage
Store Fsid-H Cream at a controlled room temperature between 15°C and 25°C. Keep out of reach of children. For use only under the prescription of a registered medical practitioner (RMP).
Prescription required. Fsid-H Cream is available in the Power Brands range and Eczema & Dryness collection at Derma.pk.
