Composition:

MAKAZI CAPSULES 250mg Capsules:
Each capsule contains Azithromycin (as dihydrate) equivalent to 250mg
Azithromycin

Description:

MAKAZI CAPSULES is a semisynthetic antibiotic belonging to the
azalide group It's an antibacterial agent that inhibits protein synthesis,
classified under the antibiotics pharmacological group The molecular weight of
Azithromycin is 78500

Pharmacodynamic Properties:

Azithromycin is a macrolide antibiotic that inhibits
bacterial protein synthesis by binding to the ribosomal 50s subunit and
inhibiting peptide translocation It concentrates in phagocytes and contributes
to drug distribution in inflamed tissues

Microbiological Coverage:

Makazi is effective against various bacteria, including
Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus pneumoniae, Herophilus influenzae,
Neisseria gonorrhoeae, Chlamydia pneumonia, and more It's important to note
that some bacterial strains may be resistant to Azithromycin

    recommended in patients with severe liver disease or hypersensitivity to

    patients with renal impairment, and it should not be used in patients with
    severe renal dysfunction

    with caution in patients at risk for prolonged cardiac repolarization
  • The drug should only
    be used when necessary during pregnancy or lactation
