Mercip Tablets 500mg (Ciprofloxacin HCl)
Mercip Tablets 500mg contain Ciprofloxacin HCl 500mg, a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that inhibits bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication and transcription. This mechanism produces bactericidal activity against a broad spectrum of gram-positive and gram-negative organisms.
Ciprofloxacin is indicated for the treatment of urinary tract infections (including complicated UTIs), lower respiratory tract infections, gastrointestinal infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, and other infections caused by susceptible organisms, as determined by the prescribing physician. Susceptibility testing is recommended where feasible.

How To Use

5. Avoid concomitant use with antacids containing magnesium/aluminium, dairy products, or calcium-fortified beverages within 2 hours of dose
6. Avoid excessive sunlight exposure due to photosensitivity risk; physician to advise on QT prolongation risk if applicable
