FAQs
Is Mimpal Cream available without a prescription?
No. Mimpal Cream (Adapalene 0.1%) is a prescription-only medication. A valid prescription from a licensed dermatologist or physician is required.
What is Adapalene and how does it treat acne?
Adapalene is a third-generation topical retinoid. It binds to specific retinoic acid nuclear receptors in skin cells, normalising follicular epithelial differentiation and reducing the formation of microcomedones — the primary lesions in acne.
How long before I see results with Mimpal Cream?
Visible improvement in acne typically begins after 8–12 weeks of consistent nightly use. Some initial skin purging (temporary increase in breakouts) or dryness may occur in the first 2–4 weeks.
Can I use Mimpal Cream during the day?
It is recommended for nighttime use only, as Adapalene increases photosensitivity. Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen (SPF 30+) during the day while using this product.
Is Mimpal Cream safe during pregnancy?
Use during pregnancy should only occur if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk. Consult your dermatologist or obstetrician before use.
