Description
Oratraxin Gel – Effective Treatment for Acne Vulgaris
Oratraxin Gel is a combination gel formulated with Isotretinoin (0.05%) and Erythromycin (2%) to treat acne vulgaris. It is designed to target the root causes of acne by reducing inflammation, controlling bacterial growth, and preventing the formation of new acne lesions.
Key Benefits of Oratraxin Gel
-
Treats Acne Vulgaris: Oratraxin Gel helps to effectively treat acne vulgaris, a common skin condition.
-
Contains Isotretinoin & Erythromycin: Isotretinoin reduces sebum production and helps unclog pores, while Erythromycin fights bacterial infections associated with acne.
-
Improves Skin Texture: Helps reduce acne-related redness, inflammation, and scarring.
-
Suitable for Sensitive Skin: Designed to be gentle on the skin, this gel provides targeted acne treatment without causing irritation.
How Oratraxin Gel Works
Oratraxin Gel combines the power of two active ingredients to provide comprehensive acne treatment. Isotretinoin, a powerful retinoid, works to normalize sebum production and reduce acne-causing bacteria, while Erythromycin, a topical antibiotic, targets and eliminates the bacteria causing acne inflammation. The combination helps reduce swelling, redness, and the overall appearance of acne lesions, leading to clearer skin.

Usage & Benefits
Dual-Mechanism Acne Control: Topical Isotretinoin 0.05% reduces sebum output and normalises keratinisation while Erythromycin 2% eliminates Cutibacterium acnes bacteria for comprehensive acne management.
Reduces Inflammatory and Non-Inflammatory Lesions: The combination addresses both blackheads, whiteheads, and inflamed pustules.
Prevents Antibiotic Resistance: Combining a retinoid with an antibiotic reduces the risk of antibiotic-resistant P. acnes bacteria.
Improves Skin Texture: Regular use refines skin texture, unclogs pores, and reduces post-acne marks over time.
Prescription-Strength Efficacy: Oratraxin provides dermatologist-level acne treatment in a convenient topical format.
Formulated for Tolerability: Gel base minimises the drying effect often associated with retinoid-only acne treatments.
How To Use
For external use only — use only under medical supervision with a valid prescription.
IMPORTANT: Use in the evening (PM) only. Topical Isotretinoin increases photosensitivity.
1. Cleanse and completely dry your skin before application (wait 20–30 minutes after washing).
2. Apply a thin, pea-sized amount of Oratraxin Gel to acne-affected areas only.
3. Avoid eyes, lips, nostrils, and mucous membranes. If accidental contact occurs, rinse immediately with water.
4. Allow gel to absorb fully before applying any other skincare product.
5. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen every morning without exception while using this product.
6. Patch test on the inner arm before initial facial use — mild redness, peeling, or dryness is normal during the first 1–2 weeks.
7. Do not use during pregnancy or nursing — contraindicated.
8. Avoid concurrent use of other retinoids or harsh exfoliants (AHAs/BHAs) without physician guidance.

FAQs
What is Oratraxin Gel used for?
Oratraxin Gel is a prescription combination acne treatment containing topical Isotretinoin 0.05% and Erythromycin 2%. It is indicated for acne vulgaris, targeting both excess sebum production and acne bacteria.
Is Oratraxin a retinoid?
Yes. It contains topical Isotretinoin, a retinoid that normalises skin cell turnover and reduces sebum production. Note: this is a topical retinoid — not the oral Isotretinoin (Roaccutane).
Can I use Oratraxin Gel during pregnancy?
No. Retinoids (including topical Isotretinoin) are contraindicated in pregnancy and nursing. Consult your doctor immediately if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy.
Why must I use SPF with Oratraxin?
Topical Isotretinoin increases your skin's photosensitivity, making it more vulnerable to UV damage. Daily SPF 30+ is mandatory during treatment.
Can I use other acne products alongside Oratraxin?
Avoid combining with other retinoids, AHAs, or BHAs without physician guidance. A gentle, fragrance-free moisturiser is recommended to manage retinoid-related dryness.
How long until I see results?
Visible improvement typically begins at 4–6 weeks. Some patients experience a brief purging phase in the first 2 weeks — this is normal and should subside.
