Dosage:
Start therapy with 0.5 mg/kg daily. For maintenance, adjust the dose between 0.1 and 1 mg/kg daily, depending on individual needs. Remember, reserve the maximum dose of 1 mg/kg daily for short-term use only.
Contraindications:
Pregnant women and women of childbearing potential should avoid isotretinoin due to its high teratogenicity.
Precautions:
During treatment, I recommend regularly monitoring your liver function, fasting serum lipids, and blood glucose levels, especially if you are diabetic.
